More refined artwork allowed the initial product layouts to be explored, and design language to be refined
Detailed drawings were compiled for production reference. Care was taken to account for the areas of risk, as identified by the tolerance stack
Various issues were managed and resolved throughout the off-tool stages. This included points such as; part deformations, the blade damaging other components, and undesirable flow marks
Adding the tracked pusher, and improving the locked guard position of the upper bed, were the key safety improvements made in response to the brief. This also created the opportunity to improve the consistency of the output
The product has entered the market to some success, and the business remains positive about the prospects. This is due in large part to the improvements made to an already popular existing item
